"No one can serve two masters".
In this quote from the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament, Jesus goes on to say "you cannot serve both God and money".
Jesus never says money is evil.
Jesus' disciple, the apostle Paul, is famously misquoted as having said "money is the root of all evil." The accurate quote is "the love of money is a root of all kinds of all evil". (First Timothy 6:10)
When you love something or someone more than God, a door to temptation is opened. Make the effort to realize if someone or something is acquiring "God level" priority and position in your life. Move that person or thing into its proper place. Elimination may not be necessary, but proper placement is mandatory.
As for the money, use it. Don't serve it.
